[Photos] Elon Musk reveals the first production Tesla Model 3 on Twitter


Tesla Model 3, the first electric car for the masses, was revealed to the public via Twitter and Instagram, by Elon Musk, cofounder and CEO of Tesla Motors.


The car which starts at $35,000 only, is the most affordable car by Tesla yet and has already been reserved by an estimated 400,000 people.

The Tesla Model 3 achieves 215 miles of range per charge, and can also go 0 to 60mph in 6 seconds.   According to Tesla, “Model 3 combines real world range, performance, safety and spaciousness into a premium sedan that only Tesla can build.”

The Tesla Model 3 was first unveiled at an event on the 31st of March, 2016. Musk had tweeted a week ago that “Model 3 passed all regulatory requirements for production two weeks ahead of schedule.”
Elon Musk has said that the first 30 Model 3 customers will receive their cars at a party on the 28th. Production is expected to grow to 100 cars in August, more than 1,500 by September, and then 20,000 by December.
