Oukitel C8, an entry-level smartphone is 'the next killer' from the Chinese tech firm, Oukitel, and it is the first budget smartphone to parade the now popular bezel-less screen which is the major trend in smartphones this year. Oukitel C8 packs a 5.5-inch bezel-less HD display, 13-megapixel camera, 2GB of RAM, 3,000mAh battery and Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box.

Design & Display
Oukitel C8's body design is one of its major highlight. The C8 looks so much like the Galaxy S8 from the front, featuring a sleek design with slight curves at the sides and edges to help for better handling. Oukitel C8 comes in six colour variants to give your ample options: Sky Blue, Rosy Pink, Orchid Purple, Midnight Black, and Sunny Gold.
Oukitel C8 comes with a HD (640 by 1280 pixels) 'infinity' IPS display that measures 5.5-inches diagonally. The display has an aspect ratio of 18:9 which means the side bezels are gone. At 260ppi, the display is not the sharpest but should handle multimedia contents and text clarity just fine.
Camera, Performance & Storage
The Oukitel C8 boasts of a 13-megapixel camera, which is super for a phone at this price. The camera also has an LED flash and autofocus to back it up. On the front sits the 5-megapixel camera that also packs an LED flash to take photos even in dark areas.
In terms of performance, Oukitel C8 runs on a 1.3 GHz Mediatek T6580A Quad-core processor, and it is supported by 2GB of RAM. Oukitel C8 should run apps with ease and should also prove strong when it comes to multitasking.
16GB of built-in storage comes with the Oukitel C8, and can be expanded via MicroSD of up to 64GB. Oukitel C8 comes pre-installed with Android 7.0 Nougat.
Battery & Other features
Oukitel C8 gets its power from a 3,000mAh battery which should pass through a day of use easily before you top up.
One of the downside, however, to the Oukitel C8 is the lack of 4G LTE which maybe a deal breaker for some. Meanwhile, for a phone at this price, its a good buy if you ask me. Oukitel C8 also offers dual SIM support (1 micro & 1 nano), with dual standby as well.
Other connectivity options on the C8 device include WiFi, Bluetooth, Micro USB ports and a headphone jack.
Price & Availability
Oukitel C8's price is also another great reason to get one. Oukitel C8 price in Nigeria should range between 22,000 naira ($60) to 26,500 naira. The C8 is not yet available in Nigeria and Kenya, but you can purchase at leading online stores when it is finally available.
