Design & Display
First off, let me just say the Nokia X6 is a premium device for its level. The phone is sandwiched in an all-glass body with metal frames; a design which seems to be the norm in 2018. Around the edges, sides and back of the Nokia X6 are subtle curves that should make it fit perfectly in your grasp.
Nokia X6 is 147.2 mm long, 71 mm wide and 8.6 mm thick, and comes in three colour variants: Blue, Black and White.
Nokia X6 features a 5.8-inch FHD+ IPS display (1080 x 2880 pixel resolution, 19:9 aspect ratio) that is covered by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. This will also be the first HMD smartphone to feature the iPhone X type notch that has become kind of a trend among smartphones in 2018. This setup should appear clear and crisp from virtually every viewing angle, while playing with it under bright sunlight should also not be an issue.
Camera, Hardware & Software
HMD opted for a dual camera setup on the Nokia X6. Although not of ZEISS optics, the main 16-megapixel camera will feature an f/2.0 aperture lens while the monochrome 5-megapixel one will sport an f/2.2. For selfies, Nokia X6 packs a 16-megapixel f/2.0 sensor that is carefully stuffed into the notch. All of the cameras will offer some neat AI tricks - background blur, face recognition, filters and more.Nokia X6 comes in three variants that will all run on the midrange 1.8GHz Snapdragon 636 SoC. You get two with 4GB/32GB and 4GB/64GB configurations while the last one will pack 6GB of RAM and 64GB storage. The device runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with no bloatware and there is an Android P update also on the horizon. Any of these Nokia X6 setups should handle multitasking with ease and run even the most power-hungry apps seamlessly.
Battery & Other Features
Keeping the lights on is a 3,060 mAh battery unit that is non-removable. Nokia X6 supports fast charging with Quick Charge 3.0 via the USB-C port. This will provide up to 50% in 30mins. The Nokia X6 comes with connectivity options such as dual SIM (Hybrid), 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, NFC, Headphone jack, Wi-Fi.In Nigeria, the Nokia X6 will support LTE on all major networks including MTN, 9mobile, NTel, Globacom, InterC, and Smile.
Price & Availability
