Infinix Hot 6 is the newest smartphone from the Chinese OEM that debuts as a mid-ranger. The device is the second smartphone from the company to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset and to come with an 18:9 aspect ratio display after the Infinix S3. Infinix Hot 6 also packs a dual camera setup, a massive 4,000 mAh battery and Android 8.0 Oreo. Without further Ado, let's run down the specs of the Infinix Hot 6.

Design and Display

The Infinix Hot 6, for one is a sleek device... at least compared to the Hot 5. The phone sports a refined Plastic build with subtle curves at all corners and sides for comfort when handling. The dual camera setup protrudes a little at the back and the fingerprint sensor also returns. Infinix Hot 6 is 7.8 mm thick and weighs about 145g. It comes in four colour variants; City Blue, Sandstone Black, Magic Gold and Bordeaux Red.

Although not entirely bezel-less, the side bezels on the Infinix Hot 6's display have been shrunken down a lot. You get a HD+ IPS display (720 x 1440 pixels, 282 ppi) that measures 6.0 inches, with an aspect ratio of 18:9. The display is also protected by a 2.5D glass. With more screen real estate and and HD+ display, expect a solid viewing experience at virtually all lighting conditions.

Camera, Hardware and Software

Infinix has opted for a dual camera setup on the Hot 6. It's rocking a 13-megapixel f/2.0 main camera plus 2-megapixel secondary one, with a dual-LED flash right beside it. Upfront is a 5-megapixel sensor for selfies and wefies. This setup should provide a good all round performance.

For the internals, Infinix Hot 6 will be running on a quad-core Snapdragon 425 processor that can achieve speeds of up to 1.4GHz. This is paired with 2GB of RAM and a 16GB storage space. The Adreno 308 GPU on board will not only make games run smoothly, but other apps as well. Infinix Hot 6 boots on XOS 3 skin on top of Android Oreo 8.0.

Battery and Other Features

This is one area we're pumped about and I'm sure you guys will be too. Infinix added a massive 4,000mAh battery unit to handle all your rigorous demands. The device also has fast charging tech built in, with extra features like the Face Unlock and the fingerprint scanner.

Infinix Hot 6 comes with connectivity options such as dual SIM, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, Headphone jack, Wi-Fi and more.

Price and Availability

The Infinix Hot 6 is now available in Nigeria and Kenya at major  stores and Infinix retail outlets nationwide. Infinix Hot 6 price in Nigeria should range between N40,000 to N55,000 while In Kenya, prices should range between Ksh 15,999 to Ksh 20,999.

If you crave more RAM and storage space, then the bigger brother; the Infinix Hot 6 Pro is the best option. You can also go for a cheaper alternative like the Hot 5 or Hot 5 Lite.
